The Empire of Light

L’Empire des lumières, Museum of Modern Art, René Magritte, Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, The Empire of Light, The Guggenheim

When  René Magritte, began painting was still daylight. He painted the sky but he was very lazy, and was caught by the dark of night. Not discouraged, he continued painting, lit by light of lantern and by his own inspiration. And so was born the first “picture” having the largest exposure time and brightness filter with variable gradient (in the manual version 😉 ).
Then next pictures were born under the empire of light. So never give up.
